- Local anaesthesia, with or without sedation, may be used depending on the case.
- The available hymenal tissue is carefully approximated with fine absorbable sutures.
- The exact technique depends on the patient's anatomy and the amount of remaining tissue.
Recovery
- Mild pain, swelling, or spotting may occur initially.
- Patients are generally advised to avoid intercourse and activities that could disrupt healing until the surgeon confirms adequate healing.
- Complete healing time varies depending on the technique and individual factors.
