How does it work?
Laser energy is applied to the vaginal tissue to potentially:
- Stimulate collagen remodelling
- Improve vaginal tissue elasticity and support
- Improve tissue quality around the urethra
- Potentially reduce leakage associated with mild SUI
- Mild SUI
- Vaginal laser
- Tissue remodelling
- Possible improvement in leakage
Who may be considered?
It may be considered in selected women with mild stress urinary leakage, particularly when leakage occurs with:
- Coughing
- Sneezing

- Exercise
- Lifting weights
Important
This treatment is offered for mild stress incontinence only. Moderate or severe incontinence, urge incontinence and prolapse-related leakage need different management — sometimes pelvic-floor therapy, sometimes surgery. An examination and, where needed, urodynamic assessment come first, so you are not offered a treatment that cannot help your particular problem.
Next steps
Every one of these procedures begins with an in-person gynaecological assessment. At that consultation we go through your concern, examine where necessary, explain which options are genuinely suitable for you — including doing nothing — and give you a clear estimate before anything is scheduled.
